Celtic Crossing Irish Pub and Restaurant will
have its 1st annual Guinness Celtic
Oyster Festival on Saturday, June 7th, 2008. Not
only will this festival provide fun for the entire family by celebrating
Celtic roots and tradition with fine food and music, but it will
also serve as an occasion to commemorate the 3rd anniversary of
Celtic Crossing’s grand opening in Memphis. The extremely exciting
musical line-up includes:
- Needfire, high energy and nationally acclaimed Celtic rock in
kilts;
- Swagger, featuring Mark Harriman of the renowned Sallymacs;
- local favorites Reel Mccoy and Corn Fed Mafia;
- and last but not least, Celtic bagpipers featured throughout
the day.
Along with the musical festivities, a special Celtic menu will
be served, which will include oysters from Ireland and other Irish
delicacies. The celebration will begin at 11 a.m., and in true pub
fashion, will continue late into the night. Admission is free, so
come out to Cooper-Young to join in the fun. And don’t forget the
oysters, and, especially, the Guinness!
